Smash Bros Ultimate is all about beating your friends senseless and launching them off of the 100+ stages that this substantial entry has to offer. When you’re playing with friends online, you probably would like to hear them scream and shout as you kick their butts into oblivion, which would require the use of voice chat.

By syncing your Nintendo Switch ID to the Switch Online application found on smartphones, you can use voice chat with friends when you are playing supported software such as Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

Unfortunately, the application is the only way to chat with your buddies as Smash Bros Ultimate doesn’t feature an in-game voice chat option. If you have been playing on the Switch for some time now you know how it goes. It’s a little trickier and complicated than other consoles at the moment.

That’s all you need to know about how to use voice chat in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. For more tips, tricks, and general help, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki guide on the game right here.
