The wait for Dragon Ball Super: Broly is finally over—if you’re in Japan, that is. Those of us living in the US won’t be seeing it arrive in theaters until the start of next year. With the film already screening, a Japanese promo dropped recently showing a new fusion character that might surprise you.

Twitter user GovetaXV, known for his scans of everything in Japan related to Dragon Ball, put out a tweet Thursday reintroducing us to a familiar face.

The scan comes from a commemorative ticket booklet that viewers of Japan’s first public screenings were given.

If you aren’t familiar with Veku, he’s the failed version of Gogeta after a fusion attempt between Vegeta and Goku. Putting together the first syllable of “Vegeta” and the last syllable of “Goku” produces this name. Like other failed fusions, such as Gotenks and Tiencha, Veku appears in a skinny form in Dragon Ball Z: Buu’s Fury.

The failed fusion in Fusion Reborn came as a result of Vegeta failing to extend his index finger, according to King Kai. In the movie, Veku has a severe ki limitation and, in his fat form, uses a… very special defense mechanism: passing gas.

However, this will be Veku’s first appearance in canon. Knowing this, fans can put together that Vegeta and Goku should also be making appearances in Dragon Ball Super: Broly.

You can catch all of them, as well as a successfully fused Veku, when Dragon Ball Super: Broly makes it to the US on Jan. 16, 2019.
