The trailer focuses on gameplay, showing off all three main characters as they struggle to keep alive in the city invaded by the enemy. We see them use stealth, crafting, and traps to their advantage until they can get their hands on a Wanzer mecha and wreak havoc on the enemy.

You can check it out below.

If you’re not familiar with Left Alive, the game was announced at Tokyo Game Show 2017, and then dropped under almost everyone’s radar until this year, when Square Enix finally showcased the first gameplay.

One of the most interesting elements of Left Alive is certainly the character design by Metal Gear Solid artist Yoji Shinkawa, which gives the game a rather unmistakable look and feel. Toshifumi Nabeshima (who many know for his work on the Armored Core series) is covering the role of Game Director.

Left Alive prompts the player to take control of three survivors in a city under siege, and it’s set in the same universe as Square Enix’s classic tactical JRPG Front Mission.

The game will release in Japan on Feb. 28, 2019, for PS4 and PC, and it’ll come west on March 5 for the same platforms. You can also watch the previous trailer, while we expect to see more tomorrow in a dedicated livestream from Tokyo.
