How to Form a Persistent Posse in Red Dead Online
The most obvious appeal of Red Dead Online is, of course, its online gameplay. Because without it, it would just be regular old, fantastic, story mode Red Dead Redemption 2. If you want to form persistent posse in Red Dead Online, here’s how to do it.
While exploring the wild west, you’ll come across player controller strangers that could be a new friend, or could be a foe. In the case where they are friendly, you can team up and form what is called a posse.
There are two types of posses that you can form: temporary and persistent. Both of them will allow you to group up with others and take advantage of safety in numbers.
However, only one of them will form a longer term group that you can count on each time you play.
A Temporary posse functions exactly how it sounds. This is a short-term party perfect for groups that you know are going to be a one time deal. Team up, do what you need to do, and break up.
This kind of grouping will not remain after you leave the game, stats are not saved, and it has restricted settings
Persistent posses are more complicated, and useful. They cost $200 to form, but they are saved for future sessions and have full functionality. Kind of thing of them as a permanent party or a clan.
To form one, enter the main menu and then go to Posse, then press Square/X to create it.
