Red Dead Online has finally arrived for owners of Red Dead Redemption 2. You’ll be free to explore the wild west at your own leisure either on your own or with friends. Be it completing the many story missions in the game, using treasure maps to seek out valuables, or just fooling around with friends there’s plenty to do, and you’ll rank up as you play. Here’s what the max rank is in Red Dead Online.

As you might have guessed, Red Dead Online has a max rank similar to that which we saw in GTA V’s multiplayer component. The max rank in Red Dead Online is level 100, and to keep you grinding through the ranks, there are various ability slots, abilities, upgrades, and tons of other incentives that you’ll unlock along the way.

For example, by reaching levels 10, 20, and 40, players will gain access to Passive Ability slots that’ll grant them some additional buffs for their travels around the wild west.

To rank up in Red Dead Online, you’ll need to earn experience. This can be earned by clearing Gang Hideouts, completing treasure hunts, story missions, completing challenges, and generally just taking down bad guys, among other things.

You can increase the amount of experience you earn by pulling off headshots, killing enemies on horses, killing enemies while riding your horse, using Dead Eye (yes, it’s in Red Dead Online), and more.

We’ve listed just a few of the ways you can earn experience in Red Dead Online down below.

  • Completing story missions

Outside of that, there’s not a whole lot else you need to know regarding what the max rank is in Red Dead Online. So go on, get out there and start exploring the great stretches of the wild west either on your own or with friends and get earning that experience.
