How to Invite & Play with Friends in Red Dead Online
While the single-player experience in Red Dead Redemption 2 is excellent, The multiplayer mode offers a different experience that can’t be emulated in the story: playing with friends. Here’s how you can invite and play with friends in Red Dead Online.
Red Dead Online allows you and a posse of your closest and best cowboy buds to play together online. You can explore, complete missions, mess with other players, and build up a camp for you to hideout with your gang, just like the Dutch van der Linde gang.
Likely, if you’re bothering with Red Dead Online at all, it’s because you want to interact with others, or play with some of your real-life and/or online friends. Otherwise you could just stick with the story mode. There’s no shortage of content, that’s for sure.
Here’s how to invite your friends to your game and play with them in Red Dead Online.
First, while in-game, press left on the d-pad. Go to Players and press L1/LB or R1/RB to cycle through lists which include Friends, Crew, Recent Players and Nearby players. Highlight whichever person from this list that you want to play with.
From there, select invite to session and you’re all set! The other player just needs to accept and you’re both playing together. Get into some debauchery, or lay down the law and protect the weak and innocent from the griefers.
That does it for how to invite and play with friends in Red Dead Online.
