Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee are finally out in the wild, providing newcomers with the chance to explore Kanto for the first time, and giving longtime fans the opportunity to relive some of their favorite childhood memories. There are tons of new additions in these games, but most things have stayed the same. If you’re looking to improve your odds of getting shiny Pokemon, this game makes that process a little easier as well. Here’s how to get the Shiny Charm in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee.

When you first arrive in Celadon City, you’ll find a tall building to the left of the Poke Mart. If you head all the way up to the top floor, you’ll find the Game Director who tells you to come find him when you’ve completely filled up your Pokedex. If you actually manage to capture all 151 Pokemon in the game, go back to the director, and he’ll hand over the Shiny Charm.

As the name suggests, the Shiny Charm is a nifty little accessory that makes it easier for you to encounter Shiny Pokemon out in the wild. With the Shiny Charm, your odds of encountering a Shiny will go from 1 in 4096, to 1 in 1,365, which will make the grinding process go much quicker.

Methods for Catching Shiny Pokemon

In addition to using the Shiny Charm, you can also make use of Lures to increase your chances of finding a shiny as well. With more creatures popping up in the wild, it’ll become more likely for you to find a Shiny creature.

With Let’s Go, you can also make use of combos to further increase your chances of finding a shiny. By catching the same Pokemon multiple times in a row and building up a chain, not only will you get more experience for your party, you also have a better chance of finding rare Pokemon, including shiny ones. Keep these methods in mind if you’re planning on collecting shinies all over the Kanto region.
