Pokemon Let’s Go: What the Max Level Is

What the Max Level Is in Pokemon Let’s Go

Here’s everything you need to know about what the max level is in Pokemon Let’s Go.

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee take the original Red and Blue games and turn them on their head. While players explore the old stomping grounds of Kanto they will recognize many familiar areas, but they’ve changed in some ways.

Trainers are in new spots, some Gyms have been reworked, and some new story lines unfold as the game progresses.

The biggest change in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee is the way you catch these cute little Pocket Monsters. Gone are the days of lowering your opponents health before trying to catch it, because in Let’s Go it takes the catching mechanics from the extremely popular mobile game Pokemon Go.

Capturing these monsters may be different in this installment, but leveling up is still a main crux of the game.

Players can level up their party by catching, battling, and feeding candies to their favorite monsters. Eventually though they will hit their max level and will not be able to level up anymore.

What is that max level, though? Well, in Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee the max level is 100, which is the same for all previous titles in the franchise. Once they hit level 100 – whether that is from battling, catching experience, or Rare Candies – they will always be maxed out.

However, you can still increase their base stats with other types of candy. Things like Mighty Candy can increase their base attack stat so leveling up isn’t the only way to increase their power.

You can get candy as a reward from capturing Pokemon and you can gain even more if you start a catch bonus.

A catch bonus is obtained by catching multiple of the same mon back to back and the higher the streak to more rewards you will get after each capture. The streak is broken is you decide to catch another pocket monster, or the one you are trying to capture runs away.
