How to Evolve Eevee in Pokemon Let’s Go
Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee and Pikachu are finally out, and both of the titular ‘mons are the star of their particular game. If you’re here, you’re probably wondering how to evolve Eevee. It’s not as clear cut as it was in previous games.
Instead of choosing a starter, in these games, you’ll be given either a souped Eevee or Pikachu depending on which game you choose. These starters play by different rules than all of the other Pokemon in the game. So let’s go over the differences.
Can You Evolve Your Starter Eevee?
Your starter Eevee, if that’s the version you choose, like we mentioned, is special. It has higher base stats, and unique moves to give it a bit of an edge.
The reason Game Freak did that is because your starter Eevee cannot evolve, ever. Like Pikachu from the anime, it just does not want to evolve, despite it being the evolution Pokemon.
It’s cute though! Enjoy the unique experience of playing with an Eevee that does not evolve. This is probably the only game where you would ever not turn it into either a Jolteon, Vaporeon, or Flareon.
How to Evolve Other Eevees
Just because your starter can’t evolve, doesn’t mean that other Eevee that you obtain can’t. As long as you possess a Thunder Stone, Water Stone, or Fire Stone, you can use them to get a Jolteon, Vaporeon, or Flareon respectively.
All three of these stones can be found in the Celadon City super shop.
To catch your own that you can actually evolve, go to route 17, that’s your best chance to find one in the wild. Keep in mind, even though they do indeed exist, they are quite rare, so don’t expect to run into one right away.
