Can You Breed Pokemon & Hatch Eggs in Pokemon Let’s Go? What You Need to Know
Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee have finally arrived on Nintendo Switch. While they may see the series return to the original region of Kanto, with its 151 varied creatures up for the taking, some things have changed this time around. As such, some players may be wondering if you can breed Pokemon and hatch eggs in Pokemon Let’s Go. Well, here’s what you need to know.
A lot of things have changed in Pokemon Let’s Go. You’ll no longer be able to battle wild ‘mon you come across in encounters, but instead, you’ll only be able to catch them.
That’s, without a doubt, the most significant change in Pokemon Let’s Go, but with the ability to breed them and hatch eggs being introduced since Gold and Silver, some may be wondering if it’s been incorporated into these remakes.
Sadly, you cannot breed Pokemon and hatch eggs in Pokemon Let’s Go. While the Daycare Center has once again made its return in the area behind Cerulean City, no matter what ‘mon you put in there or how long you leave them for, you’re never going to be able to breed them or get any eggs.
This is actually because this was never a feature present in the original Red, Blue, and Yellow titles. In these games, the Daycare Center was simply used for quickly leveling up your favorite pocket monsters without having to endure the grind of battles out in the wild or against other trainers.
As such, if you want to get yourself a specific creature with better stats, you’ll simply have to go out into the wild and keep on catching them. Alternatively, your Pokemon will level up in Let’s Go by simply catching ‘mon in the wild and battling trainers. You can also transfer duplicate Pokemon you have to Professor Oak, who will give you Candies in return.
By feeding these to the ‘mon you want to level up, you’ll be able to boost specific stats. For example, Quick Candy will boost their speed stat, making your ‘mon speedier in battle, allowing them to get an attack in first. And who doesn’t want that?
That’s all you need to know about whether or not you can breed Pokemon and hatch eggs in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee. For more tips, tricks, and information on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
