Japanese rock band Alexandros has released their full music video for the song “ARPEGGIO,” used as the theme song for Project Judge, the upcoming game from Yakuza developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. The song is featured in the stylish opening for the game, and even factors into the game as its main theme. You can watch the full video down below.
Alexandros has hit huge popularity in Japan as of late, with their 7th studio album, Sleepless in Brooklyn, releasing later this month. They’ve also had their songs previously featured in works like the live-action Bleach movie, now on Netflix, which uses their song Mosquito Bite as its theme.
Project Judge is a brand new IP from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and follows a judge-turned-detective played by Takuya Kimura, one of the top actors in Japan. While the game does take place in Kamurocho, it’s entirely separate from Yakuza and sports a host of new gameplay features like disguises, trailing suspects, questioning witnesses, presenting evidence, and more.
Of course, Ryu Ga Gotoku’s trademark mix of mature drama and over the top strangeness looks to be wholly present in Project Judge. We’ve also included the reveal trailer for Project Judge down below, in case you haven’t seen it yet
Project Judge will launch on Dec. 13 in Japan, with a western release confirmed by Sega for sometime in early 2019. In other news, Yakuza Kiwami is one of the free PlayStation Plus games for this month, so if you haven’t tried out Yakuza or Ryu Ga Gotoku’s games yet, now’s the perfect chance to start.
