How to Change Hair and Customize Character Appearance in Fallout 76
Bethesda is going in a slightly different direction with Fallout 76. Instead of being a massive single-player, open-world RPG, this time around we’re getting an online, shared world, multiplayer game with survival elements. However, the game still gives you the freedom to create your character and tailor their appearance to your liking. Here’s what you need to know about how to change hair and customize character appearance in Fallout 76.
How to Change Hair in Fallout 76
The nice thing about Fallout 76 is that you can basically change your character’s hair and your character appearance anytime you’d like. At the start of the game, you’ll be able to customize them however you like. But if you change your mind after creating your character, that’s alright too.
When you’re in the game, simply bring up the menu, and then hit L1 or LB and choose the Change Appearance option. From here, you can edit your character’s appearance in Fallout 76 by customizing their facial features, hair, and hair color. If you get sick of your character’s looks, just change their hair whenever you’d like.
It’s a pretty convenient feature that lets you have total control over how your character looks in the game at all times. Just make sure you’re in a safe area before changing your character appearance, as you still run the risk of getting attacked by enemies and other players.
Other Changes to Character Appearance
In addition to editing your character in Fallout 76, there are other ways to you can change your character appearance as well. For instance, equipping different pieces of clothing or armor will also alter your appearance, and provide you with different stat boosts as well.
Whenever you pick up a new piece of clothing or armor in Fallout 76, bring up your Pip-Boy menu, go to the Items tab and choose Apparel, and you’ll see a full list of clothing you’ve picked up in Fallout 76 so far. Just select whichever one you’d like to equip, and your character will put it on. Do take note, however, that some armor pieces have level requirements, so you’ll need to reach that specific character level first before you can actually equip it.
