Fans have waited for a long time to hear more about BioWare’s plans to continue the Dragon Age franchise and looks like that wait is close to its end.
Today the developer posted an update on its official blog from General Manager Casey Hudson. The post mentioned once more that the series is an “incredibly important” franchise for the studio, which is “excited to continue its legacy.” The message continued by encouraging fans to “look for more this coming month,” which obviously means December.
Hudson doesn’t mention where we should look, but considering that we’re already getting an Anthem reveal at The Game Awards, it’s quite possible that one will come for the fantasy franchise as well.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Dragon Age franchise, it started in 2009 with Dragon Age: Origins, took a radical turn in 2011 with Dragon Age II, and then went open-world in 2014 with Dragon Age: Inquisition. There has been no release since the end of DLC support the following year, so fans have been waiting for new Dragon Age goodies for over three years.
At the moment there is no indication on what this secret project really is, other than the fact that Hudson himself and Anthem Executive Producer Mark Darrah have been teasing it for a while. We’ll have to wait and see.
