Skybound Games Will Help Finish Clementine’s Story in The Walking Dead

Telltale Walking Dead Final Season Voice Actors

It looks like the final season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead now has some new life in it. Skybound Games, a division of Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment, recently took to Twitter to announce that they will be taking up reins of development for The Walking Dead: The Final Season.

Since Telltale’s closure, fans of the series have been anxious about the fate of Clementine. The developer laid off up to 225 employees due to bankruptcy, abruptly halting all development projects and throwing The Final Season into limbo.

However, the company later announced on Twitter that it was in discussions with potential partners to help bring the series to its conclusion. It turns out that the partner they’ve decided to stick with is Skybound Games.

Despite this being good news for fans of The Walking Dead, this deal means little for the rest of Telltale’s various series, such as Batman or The Wolf Among Us. Furthermore, Telltale Games has received a class-action lawsuit for labor law violations due to how it performed its mass layoffs.

The second episode of Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season launched on Sept. 25. However, due to the sudden closure of the studio on Sept. 21, the possibility of the third and fourth episodes getting releases has become unclear.

No further details are known regarding the partnership, but Skybound Games promises to have more information soon.
