All Rock Carvings Locations in Red Dead Redemption 2
One of the various different quests you can help NPCs with in Red Dead Redemption 2 is to seek out the various different rock carvings locations scattered across the map. Here’s where to find all rock carvings in Red Dead Redemption 2, and what you need them for.
While most of your time in Red Dead Redemption 2‘s story will be following the criminal activities of the Van der Linde gang, that doesn’t mean that’s all to life in the game. In fact, if you take a break from the various story missions, you’ll find a number of different strangers who have tasks they could use a hand with.
One such NPC is Francis Sinclair who’s looking for a hand tracking down all of the different rock carvings littered across the world. In order to complete the quest ‘Geology for Beginners’, you’ll need to find all 10. Fortunately for you, we’ve got every last one’s location listed for you down below.
How to Get the Quest
To start Geology For Beginners in Red Dead Redemption 2, you’ll need to talk to Francis Sinclair, the man seated outside of his cabin to the northwest of Strawberry. The cabin is the lone building on a hill. Sinclair asks you to find all 10 rock carvings, and send their location to them by post. Once you’ve found all 10 you’ll get Sinclair’s invitation, and will need to meet him back at this cabin. Your reward for everything will be the old brass compass; one of the ingredients you need in order to craft the ravenclaw talisman.
