Fallout 76 Beta Lacks Required Entitlements: What it Means & What You Need to Know

Recommended Videos

Fallout 76 is the latest entry in Bethesda’s esteemed RPG series, but things are a little different this time. Instead of being a full single-player RPG, Fallout 76 features a large shared open world where you can interact with other players, and kill them too, if that’s your thing. The beta is live for Xbox One users right now, but if you’re getting the message that says your account “lacks the required entitlements to play,” that will lock you out from the beta itself. Here’s what you need to know about the Fallout 76 “lacks required entitlements” message, and how you can get around it.

When you’re signing into the Fallout 76 beta on your console, right before you get into a session, you might see a message that states, “This account lacks the required entitlements to play.” If you see this message, this means that you can’t play the beta at the moment. However, there’s nothing to worry about, as it simply means that the beta servers aren’t live, and are likely being managed by Bethesda.

Whenever there’s a new play session going on, the servers will be back online once again, and you’ll be able to jump into your game as per normal. The latest play session took place on Oct. 23, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern Time, and the servers went down after that. Bethesda has yet to announce when they’ll be launching another play session, but once they do, all you have to do is log in during the announced time and you’ll be back inside. As long as you’re playing during the stipulated times, you should not see the “lacks required entitlements” message when logging in.

Fallout 76 Beta Dates for All Platforms

As mentioned previously, the Fallout 76 beta is only available on Xbox One at the time of writing. If you pre-ordered the game, you should get access to it, and you’ll be able to get a glimpse of what the game has to offer. If you’re on PC or PS4, however, you’ll have to wait a little longer. There’s no exact time for when the beta will be live for those platforms just yet, but for now, we know that you’ll be able to jump in on Oct. 30.

And that’s all you need to know about the beta’s “lacks required entitlements” message in Fallout 76. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more help and information on Fallout 76. Feel free to sound off in the comments down below if you have more questions about the game.
