Even after beating Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, there’s still more to do. Here are some things you should do in the post-game. Be warned that this article contains some story spoilers.
What to Do After Beating Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (Post-Game)
Complete All Side Quests
Chances are you’ll probably finish the main path in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey long before you even complete half the side quests in the game. Once you’ve completed the main story, take the time to do the side quests and level up a bit in the post-game.
There are a couple of quests that only open up after you beat the main story (depending on your choices), which can provide you with some sweet rewards.
Aside from that, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey also features quite a lot of substantial stories in the side quests. Consider going to Mykonos to help with the rebellion if you haven’t already, or follow Sokrates on his philosophic journey through Greece.
These quests help to flesh out the world and characters quite a bit. The writing in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is also pretty good, so all these quests are definitely worth doing. You’re going to need the experience and levels to take on the tougher post-game content.

Become the First Mercenary
Aside from just grinding side quests to level up, you can also try to become the first mercenary in the game. There’s a trophy tied to this as well, and the title comes with some nice benefits. Once you become the first mercenary, you’ll get to enjoy much better prices at the blacksmith.
This means that the cost of upgrading gear will be much lower, making it easier for you to keep your gear up to date.
Mercenaries can be tracked pretty easily from your menu, and some can only be fought in the Arena. Mercenaries are also a great source of experience and high-level gear. As you’re tracking them down, don’t forget to check the message board for bounties.
You might find mercenaries with bounties on their heads, giving you more money and experience for your efforts. Some mercenaries in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey also have Cultist clues, so keep that in mind.

Seal Atlantis
One of the major side quests you definitely have to do in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the mission to seal Atlantis. After completing the main missions in Naxos, Myrinne gives you the info you need to track down the hero’s real father.
Once in Thera, Pythagoras will give you a new quest to obtain four artifacts to close the gate to Atlantis. This whole mission is tied in with the modern-day storyline as well, so this is worth doing if you want to check out all the lore in the game.
The four artifacts are tied to side quests located in Boeotia, Kythera, Messara, and Lesbos. You’ll also have to face a mythical creature for each artifact, so be prepared for some very cool and tough boss fights. We recommend hitting at least level 40 before attempting these fights, and high forties for the final artifact.

Hunt the Cult of Kosmos
The story’s not over after your confrontation with Deimos in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. In order to get the full picture of what’s going on, you’ll need to hunt down every single member in the Cult of Kosmos.
The main story will lead you to about half of them, but the remaining members can only be accessed through side quests or piecing together identity clues. If you’re not sure how the Cultist clues work, we’ve got a guide to give you an idea of what to look out for.
Hunting down the Cultists is something you’ll probably have to do in the post-game because of how high-level and powerful some of them can be. They’re also definitely worth tracking down because of the Legendary gear you get.
Once you’ve killed all the Cultists in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, you’ll be given a new quest to confront the leader, and that should give you some closure to the story.
