Can You Skip the Enemy Turn in Valkyria Chronicles 4? What You Need to Know

Recommended Videos

Valkyria Chronicles 4 follows the events of the Second European War all over again, just as the original game in the series did all those years ago. This time around, however, you’ll be following the events from a different perspective, with new characters to get to know, and different story beats to uncover along the way. You’ll face-off against the enemy forces in turn-based battles, strategically moving units around the field to defeat the enemy forces and complete other objectives. While it’s all fun and games playing out your own turn in Valkyria Chronicles 4, what’s less fun is watching and waiting for the enemy turn to go by.

Alas, the option to skip the enemy turn isn’t something that’s available to you in Valkyria Chronicles 4. While it’d certainly cut down how long it takes for you to complete a battle in the game, it’s worth pointing out that you should really pay attention to what happens during your enemy turn.

Depending on where enemy units move, you may need to alter your strategy, or quickly retreat a particularly vulnerable unit who’s now in clear sight of an enemy sniper. It’s all about reacting to your enemy’s movements, and piling on the pressure during your turn in the hope you can catch them off-guard.

As such, while it may come as disappointing news to some that you can’t skip the enemy turn in Valkyria Chronicles 4, it’s probably for the best that this option isn’t available. Take the time to study what your enemy is doing during their turns, and you’ll likely find yourself having far more success in Valkyria Chronicles 4’s combat scenarios.

That’s all you need to know regarding whether or not you can skip the enemy turn. For more tips, tricks, and information on Valkyria Chronicles 4, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
