How to Skip Cutscenes in Valkyria Chronicles 4

Recommended Videos

Valkyria Chronicles 4 is a grand return to form for the strategy series, after last year’s lukewarm reception on the spinoff Valkyria Revolution. Set during the same timeline as the original Valkyria Chronicles, the newest entry focuses on Claude Wallace and Squad-E of the Federation Army as they undertake a last-ditch effort plan against the empire, known as Operation Northern Cross. Like other games in the series, Valkyria Chronicles 4 is heavy on the story, it’s really the main point of the game. However, if you find yourself wanting to skip one of the game’s many cutscenes or conversations there is a way to. Here’s how to skip cutscenes in Valkyria Chronicles 4.

While watching any of the game’s cutscenes or static scenes, all you need to do in order to skip it is hit the start button, or options on PS4. We should say, however, that this will instantly skip the entire scene and won’t pause it or come up with a warning asking if you want to skip it. Make sure you really do want to skip the scene before you hit that button, of course, the good thing about Valkyria Chronicles 4 is that you can rewatch any scene at any time by selecting it from Book Mode. Because of this you can approach the story at your own pace, and go back and get a refresher if you need to.

Apart from a new story, Valkyria Chronicles 4 also sports a number of additions and changes to gameplay. A brand new class called Grenadier changes your strategy, while you’ll also be able to call on artillery support and make characters stand back up after getting downed, with a burst of final energy.

That’s all you need to know about skipping cutscenes in Valkyria Chronicles 4. For even more tips and guides on the game, make sure to search Twinfinite or check out our expansive wiki.
