Valkyria Chronicles 4: How to Revive KO’d Units

How to Revive KO’d Units in Valkyria Chronicles 4

Recommended Videos

Unlike last year’s Valkyria Revolution, Valkyria Chronicles 4 once again brings back the intricate, tactical strategy of the series. While it uses the same basis as past games, there are a number of new additions like the Grenadier class, the ability to use powerful Ship Orders, and a Last Stand system that can let a character stand back up after being KO’d. There are plenty of massive strategic battles to engage in, and it’s important to assemble the right combination of unit types in order to succeed. No matter how hard you try, however, there will certainly be times when things just don’t go your way and a unit of yours ends up getting KO’d. This can be problematic as it takes them out of the battle, and the unit can even die forever if they’re not rescued in time or if an enemy reaches them first. Permanently losing a character you love can be a big hit to both your strategy and emotions. Obviously, you’ll want to know how to rescue and even revive KO’d units.

Essentially there’s only one way of actually reviving a KO’d unit and immediately getting them back in the battle. Engineers carry Revival Ragnaid that they can use to instantly get a character back on their feet, and they’re the only class that has this ability. It’s important to have at least one Engineer on the field at all times, because of this useful ability. There are a couple other options to get a unit back on the field, however. Any unit can travel to the KO’d one and get them to retreat, then on a subsequent turn you can redeploy them as reinforcements at one of your bases. Alternatively, you could use the Evacuate order to expend CP and rush them off of the field, then use the Rapid Deployment order on the next turn to put them back on the field. What it boils down to is that Engineers are the best and most efficient way to revive KO’d units, but there are other ways.

That’s all you need to know about reviving KO’d units in Valkyria Chronicles 4. For even more tips, tricks, and guides on the game, make sure to search Twinfinite and take a look at our growing wiki.
