How to Wait and Pass Time in Spider-Man PS4

Here is how to wait and pass time in Spider-Man PS4.

Insomniac’s Spider-Man has arrived on PlayStation 4 and their vibrant recreation of New York City features a cyclical day/night cycle for everyone’s favorite web-slinger. The cycle plays into the classic trope of Peter Parker managing the responsibilities of his own and those of his superpowered alter ego by adding a sense of time and progression to the world.

By creating a system that represents the flow of time, Insomniac’s description of a narrative occurring over two weeks becomes much more believable, and knowing how to wait and pass time in the game can be important.

On occasion, some missions – story or otherwise – can only be taken on at certain times of the day.

Similarly, the landmark tasks, which have players scoping out different tourist spots in New York City in exchange for experience and resources, are generally easier during the day by virtue of it being easier to distinguish landmarks from a distance in the daylight.

With all of that in mind, it is important to know how to wait and have time pass to get the right time of day for the next mission or side quest.

The progression of time happens automatically within the game. While in the beginning, there isn’t a way to manually advance the in-game clock, the game will adjust the time of day to the appropriate time when the player begins the mission to keep in line with the story and that sense of progression in the world.

In some cases, Spidey will comment on the need to wait and will remark that he needs a snack or something that he can do to kill time until it is appropriate for the player to start the next level. If our favorite web-slinger makes one of those remarks, a loading screen with him eating a snack, for example, will pop up while the game advances the clock.

Once you’ve beaten the game and are free to roam around all you want, though, you’re going to be able to manually pass time yourself using any of the Research Stations around the city.

That’s all there is to it! That’s how you wait and pass time in Spider-Man PS4. Make sure to check out our Spider-Man guide wiki for more guides. Here’s some of the ones you’d find there:
