How to Take Selfies & Change Poses in Spider-Man PS4

Recommended Videos

Here’s everything you need to know about how to take selfies and change poses when using photo mode in Spider-Man PS4.

With how beautiful many games are nowadays, photo modes have become more and more popular, allowing players to marvel at the scenery and take goofy photos. Insomniac’s PS4 exclusive, Spider-Man, continues the trend by adding a photo mode that lets you take photos of the game’s version of Manhattan, as well as Spidey selfies.

First of all, the photo mode isn’t available in the game before release. It will be added as part of the day one patch, so you’ll need to download and install it if you want to jump in to take selfies.

Once it is there, press Options to access Spider-Man PS4’s menu, and you’ll see the Photo Mode option. When you click it, the menu will be removed and the gameplay will be paused. You’ll see a small menu in the bottom right of the screen, and an option called Camera Type.

If you select that option and scroll left or right, you’ll come across the Selfie camera type and you’ll be looking right into Spidey’s eyes. You can add filters, change the framing, add art to the background, or even turn it into a comic book cover of a promotional poster, just as Insomniac did in their own video.

As for changing poses, it doesn’t seem like that is possible in Spider-Man PS4. Spidey will change his hand signs sometimes when you jump into selfie mode while in the air, but you cannot change his pose.

However, you can change almost anything else you want to add flair to the image.

That’s everything you need to know about how to take selfies and change poses when using photo mode in Spider-Man PS4. For more on the game, check out our Spider-Man guide wiki.
