Originally released Feb. 15, 2007 for the Nintendo DS, Professor Layton and the Curious Village was the first entry in the Professor Layton series. It was met favorably by critics and fans, and helped to kick off the puzzle game franchise that now has nine entries. It’s most recent entry, Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy, saw the series shift to a new protagonist while still retaining its usual charm and creative wit.

Professor Layton and the Curious village can be downloaded on iPhone via the App Store or on Android via Google Play for $9.99 USD.
