NBA 2K19: How to Skip Cutscenes

How to Skip Cutscenes in NBA 2K19

Recommended Videos

If there was one thing that drove the entire NBA 2K community insane in 2K18, it was the fact that any MyCareer cutscenes simply couldn’t be skipped. Well, they could, but it involved literally quitting the app entirely and then loading it back up from your home screen. Ain’t nobody got time for that, though, and so developer Visual Concepts has heard our prayers and added in the ability to skip cutscenes in NBA 2K19.

It’s actually way, way easier to skip cutscenes in NBA 2K19’s MyCareer than the whole quitting the app thing from last year’s entry, too. All you have to do, when a cutscene starts playing that you simply don’t care about watching, is to press and hold X on PS4, and A on Xbox One. You’ll see a little X or A button icon appear at bottom center of the screen, and a red circle will start to fill around it. Once you’ve held down the button for long enough that the red circle is all the way around the button prompt, NBA 2K19 will skip the cutscene, and you can carry on playing, rather than watching and waiting.

After the absolute nightmare we had to endure in order to skip cutscenes in NBA 2K18, it’s great to see that developer Visual Concepts has ensured that players don’t have to go through a roundabout way to skip cutscenes and instead, put it right in front of them in NBA 2K19.

That’s all you need to skip cutscenes in NBA 2K19. No more quitting the app for you!
