VC is what makes the virtual world of NBA 2K19 go round. You’ll need VC for just about anything you want to do regarding upgrading your player, purchasing unlocks, and much, much more. You’ll also accrue the stuff for just about everything you do in the game, such as completing a match, completing training drills, and more. Your balance will continue to grow the more you play, basically, but some NBA 2K19 players have come across an issue that’s left them with a negative VC balance (-1 in their account). Here’s what you need to know to fix negative VC issues in NBA 2K19, to ensure you get all your hard-earned VC back without a hitch.

First things first, the method to fix negative VC issues in NBA 2K19 depends on the platform you’re on. We’ve broken them down platform by platform below to ensure you get a fix regardless of where you play.

How to Fix Negative VC Issue in NBA 2K19 on PS4

For PS4 users, you’ll need to press and hold the PlayStation button on your controller. Rather than putting the console in rest mode as you may normally do, you’re going to want to ‘Turn off PS4’ instead. This should hopefully clear any issues the system is having. It’s classic IT Crowd logic!

How to Fix Negative VC Issue in NBA 2K19 on Xbox One

Over on the Xbox One, you’re going to want to press and hold the power button on the front of your system until it completely powers off. From there, turn off your Xbox One plug at the socket, before disconnecting it from the back of the system (safety first, folks!).

From here, you can then leave your Xbox One for about 30 seconds, before plugging it back in. Give it another 10-20 seconds once you’ve plugged it back in before turning on. This should successfully clear out your Xbox One’s cache and resolve the negative VC issue in NBA 2K19.

An additional note here for original Xbox One users. Your power brick will have a white light on it once you plug your Xbox One back into the power. You need to wait for this to turn orange to ensure the cache has been successfully cleared before turning back on.

How to Fix Negative VC Issue in NBA 2K19 on PC

The PC cache fix is far simpler for NBA 2K19. You’re going to open up your Steam library and find the game. Right-click on it and select Properties, head to Local Files, and then select the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Cache.’ This can take a while, but with a bit of luck, once it’s all done, the negative VC issue should be fixed in NBA 2K19.

How to Fix Negative VC Issue in NBA 2K19 on Nintendo Switch

And finally, Nintendo’s little hybrid system. On the Nintendo Switch, there’s again an option within the settings to clear the cache, so we’ll direct you through to that.

You’re going to head into System Settings, then to System, and into Formatting Options. Here, you should see the ‘Reset Cache’ option. Select this, and choose your profile on your Nintendo Switch. Follow the instructions and once you’re all finished the negative VC issues in NBA 2K19 should be fixed.

And there you have a fix for the negative VC issue in NBA 2K19 on all platforms. For more tips, tricks, and information on the game, be sure to check out our comprehensive wiki.
