We Happy Few Gets a Dystopian Launch Trailer

Compulsion Games has released the official launch trailer for We Happy Few, the upcoming dystopian survival game set in an idyllic 1960s England. The trailer is set to a nice cheerful song and shows each of the game’s three protagonists (Arthur, Sally, and Ollie) as they fight against the oppressive authority of the city of Wellington.

In addition to avoiding the nightmarish police officers known as bobbies, you’ll also have to contend with the citizenry of Wellington and maybe few other threats, like the giant robot seen in the trailer. You can take a look at the full trailer down below, and here’s the official description of We Happy Few via Microsoft.

“We Happy Few is a narrative-driven action adventure game set in a drug-fueled, retrofuturistic 1960s England. Uncover the mystery of Wellington Wells as you play through the interwoven narratives of three moderately terrible citizens (Arthur, Sally, and Ollie) trying to escape from a lifetime of cheerful denial.”

We Happy Few launches on Aug. 10 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Make sure to take a look at our review of the game, where we found it to be an interesting, but flawed experience. Compulsion Games also recently detailed their plans for post-launch content, which you can see here.
