Recommended Videos

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate isn’t just about slaying endless beasts and creatures for their body parts, all in the hope you can craft more powerful weapons and gear and do it all over again. You’ll also need to get other crafting ingredients to craft the powerful weapons and armor… so you can go slay more giant beasts and formidable creatures. As such, chances are you may be wondering how to mine in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate.

In order to do this, you’ll first need to make sure you’ve got a pickaxe. We’ve got a guide that’ll talk you through the entire process here, but you’ll more often than not be able to get one from the supply box on any mining quests you take on.

Once you’ve finally got yourself a pickaxe in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, you’re all set to actually mine. First off, you’ll need to walk over to any of the shiny rock nodes you can see, and press A. Your character will begin to mine the rock.

It’s worth noting, however, that your pickaxe isn’t indestructible in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. After a set number of mining attempts, it’ll eventually break and you’ll need to get another one or call it a day for your mining escapades.

That’s all you need to know to mine in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. For more tips, tricks, and information on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
