Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate is the franchise’s first foray on the Nintendo Switch, bringing along hours of content filled with dangerous creatures to slay, dozens of armor to craft, and different weapons to collect. Like with previous games in the series, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate relies on your Hunter Rank as a leveling system of sorts, tracking the overall experience in the game. Raising your Hunter Rank (HR) is one of the things you’ll be working on, so some players might be wondering just what the max level cap or Hunter Rank is in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate.

So far, there’s still no clear word on what max level cap or Hunter Rank you can achieve in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, although it’s worth noting that previous games had a max level cap of 999. One way to raise your Hunter Rank early on is by completing the guild quests assigned to your hunter. By clearing through the story, you should be able to reach Hunter Rank 4 and unlock High-Rank.

Once you’ve cleared through the slew of quests, you can unlock the G-Rank quests, which are the most difficult missions in the game. You can take part in all sorts of different missions to keep raising your level cap afterward. We’ll be updating this post with more information once we have more details on the max level in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate.

Your Palico, on the other hand, has a max level cap of 50 in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. Early on, the cat’s level will cap at 20, but you can raise it to 35 by either reaching HR 6 or clearing the Guild★4 quest, The Grandmeowster’s Trials. To max the level cap at 50, you need to either raise your HR to 30 or clear the  Guild★7 quest, “Meownster Hunter.”

Keep raising your Hunter Rank to unlock more quests in the game. If you’re looking for some tips and tricks on Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
