Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate: Where to Find Abyssal Mushrooms

Where to Find Abyssal Mushrooms in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate

Recommended Videos

During the early hours of Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, you’ll have to do some low rank 1-star quests that mostly consist of gathering materials and hunting smaller monsters. One of the early game quests, however, will task you with finding five Abyssal Mushrooms, which are slightly trickier to get than your average mushrooms found in the first few areas of the Jurassic Frontier. Here’s what you need to know about getting those mushrooms.

From our experience with Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, Abyssal Mushrooms could be found in the deepest parts of the Jurassic Frontier. More specifically, you can get them from gathering nodes in areas 9, 10, and 11. Grab the map from the supply box when the quest starts, and then follow it to area 9. Once you’re there, look out for the mushroom nodes on the ground; they’re usually blue or red in color. Head there, and press and hold the A button to start gathering. You’ll have a pretty high chance of getting multiple Abyssal Mushrooms from each node. Once you have enough, head back to the base camp and deposit the Abyssal Mushrooms into the item box, and the quest will be complete.

These areas of Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate are infested with several monster types, so it’s generally recommended to clear out the area first before gathering Abyssal Mushrooms, or your attempts will be interrupted. You can also bring a couple of Palicoes to help defend you while you’re gathering.

That’s pretty much all you need to know about gather Abyssal Mushrooms in the game. Be sure to check our wiki for more information on Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate.
