How to Get Early Access to Madden 19
It’s not too long until we’ll be able to get our hands on the full version of Madden 19, releasing on Aug. 10, but if you just can’t wait that long to get your Madden fix, EA has offered a way to play the latest Madden game before its official release.
Early access for Madden 19 starts on Aug. 2, and you don’t even have to be buying the game to play it. Bear in mind, though, that this version of the game is only a trial version with certain features, such as the story mode, omitted. You can also only play the trial version of the game for 10 hours.
You don’t need to have a preorder for Madden 19 to play the trial version, but you will need to have a paid subscription for EA Access or Origin Access. These are two very similar services with one major difference: EA Access is for Xbox One, Origin Access is for PC. The memberships don’t crossover, so be sure to buy the service applicable to the console that you want to play Madden 19 on. Unfortunately, EA Access is not a service that is available on PS4, meaning that PS4 owners will not be able to access the trial on Aug. 2.
On Xbox One, you can download the EA Access app via the Xbox Store. You can manage your subscription from within the app and download the Madden 19 trial. For PC users, you can download Origin here. You can manage your Origin Access subscription from within the app or you can purchase a subscription via the Origin website. To gain access to the Madden 19 trial, you only need to have an Origin Access basic membership.
There is also an option to access the full game before the Aug. 10 release. Preordering the Hall of Fame edition of Madden 19 for PS4 or Xbox One will grant you early access to the full game on Aug. 7. The full game is also available to PC players on Aug. 7 with an Origin Access premier subscription.
