How to Find & Enter Secret Rooms in Enter the Gungeon

Recommended Videos

Enter the Gungeon is full of surprises waiting at every corner. From bullets to traps, you never really know what might be waiting for you in your next run in the Gungeon. That said, these surprises aren’t always all bad, especially when it comes to secret rooms. These areas are generally hidden, and you can find one in each chamber you come across in the game. If you’re looking for secret rooms, here’s how to find and enter them in Enter the Gungeon.

Secret Rooms are a treasure trove just waiting to be opened, filled with all sorts of goodies such as hearts, armor, blanks, chests, shrines, keys, and even NPCs, among other things. Since they’re barred from view, you’ll have to keep a sharp eye on the walls when you make your way through Enter the Gungeon. One easy way to find a secret room is by looking at the wall’s color; if you see a slight color variation, then it’s probably the entrance to the secret room in Enter the Gungeon. The same goes for any walls that are on the left, right, or bottom on the screen – just make sure to keep your eyes peeled for any color disfigurations.

Once you’ve found them, it all boils down to finding a way to enter these secret rooms. All you need to do is break open the wall by firing a blank, and it should crumble and reveal the entrance. Given that the game does have ammo limitations, you’re probably better off inspecting the walls first before wasting all of your bullets.

That’s basically the gist of how to find and enter secret rooms in the game. For more tips and tricks on Enter the Gungeon, make sure to search for Twinfinite.
