Octopath Traveler: Way Through the Woods Side Quest Walkthrough

Way Through the Woods Side Quest Walkthrough in Octopath Traveler

Recommended Videos

Octopath Traveler has an ambitious narrative structure, giving you eight different self-contained stories to experience while travelling the world. You can tackle these eight stories in any order you want to, choosing only to collect a party of four characters, or get every single character before doing anyone’s chapter 2. Of course, in typical JRPG fashion, there’s a number of smaller side quests to complete on top of the main stories. Depending on which character you have, you might not be able to do a side quest until you have a certain one, and that’s true of the quest Way Through the Woods.

Way Through the Woods is found in S’warkii, the hometown of H’aanit, and you’ll also need to complete her first chapter in order to start it. To start the quest, talk to the Genteel Madam just down from the Headsman’s house, on the very left side of S’warkii. She needs someone to escort her to Bolderfall, to meet her husband, and of course you’ll need a specific Path Action. You’re going to need either Ophilia or Primrose so you can use the Guide or Allure ability to bring the Madam along with you.

Once the NPC is in your party, open your map and fast travel to Bolderfall. If you haven’t been there yet, you’ll need to head south from S’warkii and go through the forest and cliffs until you reach it. Once in Bolderfall, head up the stairs and to the right and find a man in a green tunic, standing in front of some crates. This is the Madam’s husband, so simply talk to him, see the dialogue, and you’ll have completed the quest. You’ll get a few helpful rewards for your trouble, and be on your way.
