How to Use Photo Mode in No Man’s Sky

Recommended Videos

No Man’s Sky is one beautiful game. There are beautiful planets, stars, creatures, and more. The vibrancy in the colors makes it one of the prettiest games this generation, hands-down. As such, there’s no doubt some fans out there that want to know how to access the Photo Mode within the game. Fret not! We have your answer right here.

When it comes to being in the game, if you’ve found something gorgeous you want to take a shot of (or funny, or hideous, whatever floats your boat), you’re going to need to access the quick menu. It’s really convenient. All you have to do is push down on your controller’s d-pad and you’ll pop up a quick little menu.

Scroll left or right once you have that open, and you should see an icon of a camera. Select it and you’ll be using Photo Mode! This is how you can take some pretty little pictures to share anywhere.

Now, of course, modern consoles allow you to screenshot easily (as do computers) but with this different mode on, your shots won’t have any of the UI. No letters anywhere or any bars plaguing the screen. It will be just as if you’re actually within the game, and you’ll be able to take some Instagram worthy shots. Once you have the pictures on your console or PC, you have it ready to share on any social media platform! PS4 and Xbox One make this especially easy with the option being built right in.

That’s all there is to using the Photo Mode in No Man’s Sky! If you have other questions, though, leave ’em down below in the comments and we’ll do our best to help you out. If you’d rather find the answers yourself, check out our wiki on the game.
