No Man’s Sky NEXT: How to Get Emotes

How to Get Emotes in No Man’s Sky NEXT

Recommended Videos

Hello Games’ most substantial update for No Man’s Sky is titled NEXT, and it introduces the full multiplayer feature that many players had been craving since the game’s original launch. You’ll now be able to traverse the universe in groups of up to four players, interacting with others to work cooperatively to explore the universe or go on a killing spree, depending on what sort of mood you’re in. But whatever your preference, you’ll want to interact with other players, and that doesn’t just mean using the microphone. No Man’s Sky has featured emotes for some time, of course, but there are now new ones to help you communicate, so here’s how to get emotes in No Man’s Sky NEXT.

From what we understand at this moment, they are purchased via the in-game rewards shop, but that is, unfortunately, a feature that isn’t quite up and running quite yet. For now, at least, you’re stuck using the emotes that were available before NEXT went live. Hello Games has spoken of future “live events” that will reward players with currency to spend at a rewards shop where they will be able to purchase new ships, vehicles, and emotes.

We’ll be sure to update this post with more information once the rewards shop has gone live. For now, you’ll have to make do with the current selection of emotes. In case you’d forgotten, using an emote is super easy to do. All you need to do is hit down on the D-pad to select gesture, and then pick whichever emote strikes your fancy.

That’s all we know about how to get more emotes in No Man’s Sky NEXT. For more useful information on the game, be sure to check out our wiki page.
