The marathon starts at 12:30 p.m. ET with a quick pre-show and then a run of Rare’s classic Nintendo 64 platformer Banjo-Tooie. Other games included in the lineup today are the recently released Iconoclasts, Spyro the Dragon, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, and 2016’s Doom.

Summer Games Done Quick 2018 will last until Sunday, July 1 and ends with a scheduled seven-hour run of Final Fantasy VI. Popular speedrunning games Super Mario 64, Celeste, Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy will appear throughout the week, though the Nintendo Switch’s Super Mario Odyssey is absent from the full schedule.

Despite the game consistently being one of the top three games to speedrun since its launch in October 2017, according to speedrun.com, it has been regulated to a “bonus” game. That means it could appear sometime during the event if a certain amount of money is raised.

The entire event can be seen from the Games Done Quick official Twitch channel, and all donations made during the marathon will support the Doctors Without Borders organization. Last year’s Summer Games Done Quick raised over $1.7 million for the non-profit, while the speedrunning group’s Awesome Games Done Quick event raised over $2.2 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation earlier this year.
