Quantum Break and Alan Wake developer Remedy announced its latest game, Control, at Sony’s E3 2018 press conference on Monday night.
Not much information was given in the trailer below, except it is a third-person action game with a lead character who wields a transforming gun and can manipulate physical objects. Control is being published 505 Games and is slated for 2019.
The game could be Remedy’s Codename “P7” (Project 7), revealed last year when 505 Games and Remedy announced a partnership. According to the project’s page on Remedy’s official website, the game is scheduled to launch for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
“A cinematic third-person action game set in a new Remedy-created universe, P7 features an intriguing story with a cast of memorable characters,” reads the project’s description. “The game structure offers a long-lasting, story-driven gameplay experience and the deepest game mechanics yet in a Remedy game.”
Update: Remedy confirmed on Twitter that Control is “P7” and would be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The studio replaced the P7 page on its website to Control, and also described the basic premise and gameplay in a series of tweets.
