While you’ve got all manner of different shot types available to you in Mario Tennis Aces, sometimes you might just want a little extra oomph on your shot. The charge shot, then, is exactly what you’ll be wanting to use if you need to send the ball over to your opponent nice and quickly.

To charge shot in Mario Tennis Aces, you simply need to press and hold the button that corresponds to the shot you want to use. So, for example, if you just want to return the ball with a forehand charge shot, you’d simply press and hold the A button prior to it being within proximity of your character.

If your opponent tries to return one of these shots in Mario Tennis Aces, they’ll be pushed back considerably off the court by the ball, giving you the opportunity to play a little drop shot just over the net to have them scrambling all over the court. Don’t say we didn’t tell you about this trick!
