How to Play Co-Op Multiplayer in State of Decay 2
While killing zombies and developing a thriving safe haven from the zombie apocalypse is all fun and games on your own, everything’s more fun when you’ve got a friend to keep you company and potentially save you from being mauled to death. Here’s what you need to know to play co-op multiplayer in State of Decay 2.
To set up a co-op multiplayer session in State of Decay 2 with a friend, you’ll first need to load up your game. Once it’s all loaded up, press the Menu button on your Xbox One controller and you should see a number of boxes under Guests in the menu that have “Send Invite” in them. Simply press A on one of these, and it’ll open up your Xbox Live friends list. Select the player you want to join you, and the invite will be sent. Now have them accept the invite, and they should be dropped into your game.
There are other options to play co-op multiplayer in State of Decay 2, but this will have you playing with strangers. By pressing up on the d-pad, you can access your radio, which allows you to request help from fellow survivors (opening your game up to other players to join), as well as offer assistance to those in need. You’re not always guaranteed to have someone help you out, and it will cost you a bit of your precious Influence (State of Decay 2’s currency so to speak), but at least you’ll have someone by your side.
