Is Octopath Traveler Coming to PS4?
Octopath Traveler is the upcoming JRPG from Square Enix and Acquire that will have players seeing the perspective of eight different characters that each have their own story. Details are light, but the idea has many Nintendo Switch fans very excited. Plus, it features a HD 16-bit art style that has retro fans swooning, and even in 2018, it still looks great.
If you’re here, you’re probably wondering if Octopath Traveler is going to come to the PS4. The PS4 has been the console to own if you’re a fan of RPGs this generation, so it would be kind of odd if it was excluded. That said though, as far as we know, Octopath Traveler is indeed a Switch exclusive. It was announced as being for the Switch only, and as we get closer to release, it has continued to be an exclusive with no word on whether it will be ported one day.
What might complicate a future port is that Nintendo is the publisher of Octopath Traveler. So likely, they would need to be involved in any deal that brings the game anywhere else including the PS4.
