How to Save in Detroit Become Human
Detroit Become Human is the latest game from Quantum Dream, the developers behind Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls. Like in those other two games, Detroit Become Human is a narrative driven game that sees the player take control of multiple playable characters that can live or die depending on your choices. Because your experience with Detroit Become Human is heavily dependent on the choices you make, you’re probably wondering how to save, and if you can manually create your own save files in preparation for a major choice you’re about to make.
Not only are there lots of choices to make, but there are lot of different ways that cutscenes can play out based on what you say, and what kind of detective work you did beforehand. If you fail to inspect things well or handle situations a certain way, you might block out potential outcomes. This makes knowing how to save quite important, obviously.
Well, I have good news and bad news on that front. The good news is that Detroit Become Human saves automatically for you often. You’ll never need to stress about losing substantial amounts of progress, no matter what happens while you’re playing, or if you decide to shut your PS4 off abruptly.
The bad news is that Detroit Become Human makes it very difficult for you to reverse choices. There is no way to manually save and the game is constantly auto saving your progress and locking you into choices, similar to Until Dawn. If you’re not sure about a choice, think very carefully before selecting or turn off your PS4 before the choice to see how far the game will let you go back. As a general rule though, once you make a choice, that’s it.
