God of War: How to Save

How to Save in God of War

Recommended Videos

God of War’s arrival on PS4 shows us a different Kratos. One that, above all else, protects his child and ensures he’s safe as they embark on an epic adventure through the territory of the Norse gods and beasts. He still knows how to handle himself in a fight though, and that’s a good thing considering you’ll find yourself face-to-face with plenty of sinister adversaries. If you need to take a break on your journey with Kratos and Atreus and want to record your progress, it can be a little confusing. Here’s what you need to know to save in God of War.

When you’re ready to save and take a break from the game, you’ll first want to press the touchpad or the Options button on your DualShock 4 controller. From here, you’ll want to press Triangle in order to open up the system menu in God of War. The ability to save your progress is here, so simply select it, choose the slot you want to record your progress, and you’re all set.

God of War does also auto-save, which is indicated by an icon appearing very briefly in the corner of the screen. Once this has disappeared, you’re all set to exit out of the game.
