Ghost Recon Wildlands is bringing a substantial amount of new content to players for its Year 2 content plan, just announced today. Ubisoft is continuing to support the title, which will continue to receive updates for PvE and Ghost War PvP modes. So if you just hopped on board as the game celebrated its first year anniversary, you’ve got plenty more to look forward to as the months wear on.
There will be four free “major” content drops in the future, called Special Operations updates, with a special theme and PvE as well as PvP content. To kick things off, Year 2’s first drop will be Special Operations 1, which is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 10, which is just next week! You’ll get the new Sabotage mode, five new maps for it, a new class, perks, weapons, and more as well as the ability to customize your AI teammates’ outfits using all gear — this is a pretty big player request, according to Ubisoft, so it should make a decent-sized splash when it’s up for grabs.
In addition to free content, there will be a paid season pass for Year 2 content updates which will offer a week’s worth of early access to new classes for use in Ghost War, 8 new Battle Crates divvied up into Special Ops and Ghost War, and a customization pack with exclusive items. It’s $30 if you decide you want to take the plunge. In the meantime, check out the Ghost Recon Wildlands Year 2 trailer below.
