During today’s Nintendo Direct the company started with a few headlines on the 3DS, one of which was a surprise remake of the original Luigi’s Mansion. Now anyone that jumped into the series with Dark Moon on 3DS, can jump back and experience the original mansion.
Luigi’s Mansion, originally released in 2001 on the GameCube, shine the spotlight on the tall brother. Mario has gone missing, and Luigi has to search every corner of a dark haunted mansion in order to find him. The game has never been released outside of the GameCube, even digitally, marking the first time that many playes will get to experience it.
The game will recieve updates to its graphics and include new features like a boss rush mode. Additionally, the in-game map will now be displayed on the bottom touch screen for ease of use.
Luigi’s Mansion will arrive on 3DS sometime this year, although Nintendo didn’t announce an exact release date. This story is developing, so we’ll make sure to update it as more information becomes available.
