How to Get More Weapon Slots & Carry More Weapons in Far Cry 5

Recommended Videos

If you’ve been out exploring the beautiful countryside of Montana in Far Cry 5, you’ve probably bumped into an enemy or two. While you’ll be able to start out in the game with a pistol, main weapon, and some throwables, variety is the spice of life. As such, many will likely be wondering how to get more weapon slots so you can carry more weapons in Far Cry 5.

Weapon slots are tied to perks, specifically the Weapons Collector perk (9 points) and the Additional Holster perk (8 points) in the Prepper category. You’ll unlock Perk Points by simply playing through Far Cry 5, clearing quests and side missions as you go.

Once you have enough points, press Options on your controller and then use R1/ RB to cycle through to the Perks menu. Select these two perks and press X/ A to confirm them. It’s worth noting, however, that the Weapons Collector perk will only be unlockable once you’ve cleared one of the Seed siblings, so you’ll have to deal with just two main weapon slots for the time being.

That’s all you need to know to get more weapon slots and carry more weapons in Far Cry 5. For more on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
