The Nintendo Switch was released last year on March 3 and was instantly a hit with gamers for being a hybrid console that can play games on your TV and on the go. The Switch enjoyed strong sales throughout 2017 and it looks like its popularity isn’t about to drop anytime soon.
In fact, Nintendo of America has just announced on Twitter that the console is the fastest-selling video game system in the US within 10 month’s time:

The hardware itself isn’t the only thing that has contributed to the Switch’s success. The console has been supported by a number of hugely popular games which have received critical acclaim, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, and Maro+Rabbids Kingdom Battle.
The Switch has also enjoyed plenty of third party support with games such as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, DOOM, L.A. Noire, Minecraft, Sonic Mania, and FIFA 18. There are also plenty of big games to look forward to this year with the Bayonetta collection and a port of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus on the horizon.
It looks like the Switch is enjoying far more success than the Wii U ever did and we look forward to seeing how many more milestones Nintendo’s hybrid console will have reached come March.
