Call of Duty: WWII has spent a total of eight weeks atop the UK game charts and finishes the year off on top. After several games with a futuristic setting, WWII takes us back to the series’ roots and fans seem to love it.

FIFA 18 is in second place and Star Wars Battlefront II is in third, despite the controversy surrounding its loot boxes. Assassin’s Creed: Origins comes in fourth and Grand Theft Auto V rounds out the top five. The top 20 are as follows:

This coming week doesn’t see the release of any new games, but will Call of Duty sales remain strong enough to see it be the first No. 1 game of 2018, or will the likes of FIFA or Assassin’s Creed take that title?
