Today during the Mega Man 30th anniversary livestream Capcom officially unveiled Mega Man 11, a brand new entry in the franchise. In addition, a Mega Man X Collection was announced, bringing all eight X games to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2018.
During the livestream we got a short look at Mega Man 11, which sports an interesting anime kind of style different from anything used in other Mega Man games. Of course, the series’ traditional different weapons will return as we see Mega Man’s normal Mega Buster, as well as a power that lets him drop blocks from the sky on enemies. Take a look at the trailer down below.
Finally, to add to all the announcements both the Mega Man Legacy Collection and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will be making their way to Nintendo Switch sometime in 2018, and will also sport amiibo support.
2018 looks to be a big year for the Blue Bomber with the Mega Man X Collection hitting sometime in the year, and Mega Man 11 coming late in the year.
What do you think of how Mega Man 11 looks? Do you like the new art style, or do you wish they’d stuck to something from a previous game? Let us know down in the comments below.
