Call of Duty: WWII released in early November and received a strong reception from both gamers and critics for returning to its World War II roots. It appears gamers can’t get enough of the shooter as, this week, it is atop the UK game charts for the seventh week in a row.
FIFA 18 remains in second whilst Star Wars Battlefront II is in third. The Xbox One release of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds makes its debut in fourth place and Assassin’s Creed Origins brings up the rear in fifth. The full top 20 list is:
- Call of Duty: WWII
- FIFA 18
- Star Wars Battlefront II
- PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds
- Assassin’s Creed Origins
- Super Mario Odyssey
- Grand Theft Auto V
- WWE 2K18
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
- The Sims 4
- Just Dance 2018
- Gran Turismo Sport
- Need for Speed Payback
- Football Manager 2018
- Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Forza Motorsport 7
- Destiny 2
- Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle
The only notable release for the end of this year is the third and final episode of Life is Strange: Before the Storm. Will that be enough to take Call of Duty’s place? Will Call of Duty: WWII be the first No. 1 game of 2018? We haven’t got long to wait until we find out.
