Star Wars Battlefront 2: How to Play as a Hero

How to Play as a Hero in Star Wars Battlefront 2

Recommended Videos

One of the biggest changes DICE has made to Star Wars Battlefront 2’s multiplayer is how you unlock and play as a Hero in battle. It is more simple than in the previous games but it requires you to do well in-game.

Instead of random pick-ups littering the field of battle, you amass Battle Points for every action you make in-game, such as kills and working towards an objective. Those Battle Points can then be used to call in reinforcements by changing your character in a match’s character select screen. You can either spend some of them on a more powerful version of your character or wait until you have at least 5000 to spend on a Hero. Depending on which team you’re a part of, you’ll see Heroes such as Boba Fett, Darth Vader, and Princess Leia. You can see the Heroes, and select them, to the right side of the set of characters available to you. They’re immensely powerful characters, with the ability to cause havoc and turn the tide in a battle, so they are certainly worth saving your Battle Points for. You will only have access to a specific set of Heroes when you first start the game, however. You will need to unlock more by getting credits from playing the game and purchasing the hero you want.
