South Park: The Fractured but Whole is available now, but if you’re not so sure its unique brand of humor is for you, you can now pick up a free trial to try it out for an hour. The game now has a one-hour trial available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from Ubisoft, which is available now.
Essentially, you’ll get to play a complete hour of the full game without any real restrictions until you’ve completed the allotted amount of time. Then, once you’re finished playing, you’ll be given the option to purchase the full game, keeping all of your progress and moving it over so you can pick right back up where you left off.
The game is a hilarious riff on pop culture and superhero movies, and if you enjoy South Park as a series, there’s no doubt you’ll get a laugh out of “Coon and Friends,” Cartman’s group of heroes that takes on the Avengers and other comic book superheroes. It’s rife with some particularly naughty language and situations, but if you know the show you’re no doubt already familiar with all of that.
South Park: The Fractured but Whole also features a Season Pass with an additional superhero class, new costumes, perks, story DLC and a new challenge. So if you try out the game for an hour and like what you see, there’s a whole lot more where that came from. The real challenge is figuring out first if the game is for you. If you liked South Park: The Stick of Truth, you should feel right at home with this one.
